West Brom have become the latest club to register an interest in signing Championship forward Matt Phillips this month, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who defeated Bristol City 1-0 in their FA Cup third-round replay in midweek, are understood to have joined AFC Bournemouth and Newcastle United in the race to recruit the Queens Park Rangers winger during the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old, who has two international caps for Scotland, has scored five and assisted three goals in 27 league games for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side this season.

Phillips, who is valued at around £7m by QPR, is largely seen as an alternative target to England international Andros Townsend as Tottenham are demanding in the region of £14m for his services this month.
