AFC Bournemouth are reportedly running the rule over whether to sign former Premier League striker Ricardo Vaz Te.

The Cherries, who have endured an injury-hit debut season in the Premier League with forwards Max Gradel and Callum Wilson suffering long-term knocks, are looking to bolster their squad and are interested in the free agent’s services.

The 29-year-old, who has made 94 English top-flight appearances for both West Ham United and Bolton Wanderers, last joined Turkish Süper Lig side Akhisar Belediyespor on a six-month deal back in January.

It is understood that Vaz Te has already trained with Bournemouth, much like he did at West Brom earlier this season, whilst new Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce is also reportedly monitoring the Portuguese striker’s situation.
