Bournemouth to bring in young Football League star

Bournemouth are reportedly closing in on the signing of Barnsley right-back Mason Holgate after having a bid accepted by the Tykes. 

The 18-year-old made his debut in December 2014 and his performances are said to have attracted Manchester United.

However, the Cherries have also spotted the Doncaster-born starlet’s talent and have agreed a fee of £1m plus add-ons with the League One side.

The Dorset club now just have to agree personal terms with the player but it is not yet clear whether he will then return to Oakwell on a season-long loan deal.
