Bournemouth’s bid for Dutch international

Bournemouth are reportedly interested in former Swansea City midfielder Jonathan de Guzman.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe is eager to strengthen his squad ahead of the close of the transfer window on September 1, with the Napoli midfielder high on their wishlist.

The 27-year-old, who has 14 international caps for the Netherlands, scored seven goals in 36 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A side.

However Bournemouth, who lost 1-0 to Aston Villa on the opening day of the season, also face stiff competition from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille for De Guzman.
