AFC Bournemouth are expected to confirm the signing of their fifth January addition today in the form of defender Rhoys Wiggins, according to the Bournemouth Echo.

The Premier League side, who currently sit just four points above the relegation zone, have agreed a fee believed to be in the region of £200,000 for the Sheffield Wednesday defender.

The 28-year-old left-back, who is a former Wales Under-21 international, has been restricted to just six league appearances for the Owls this season.

Wiggins is due to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical with the Cherries on transfer deadline day, with boss Eddie Howe fully expected to sign the defender for a FOURTH time throughout his managerial career.

He will provide competition for first-choice left-back Charlie Daniels at Dean Court, whilst joining fellow new arrivals Juan Manuel Iturbe, Benik Afobe, Lewis Grabban and Marius Adamonis at the club this transfer window.
