Rantie has only been a bit-part player for Bournemouth.

He may not be a regular for the Cherries, but Rantie had an important role to play for his national side during the international break.

South Africa faced Angola in a two-legged tie as they looked to advance to the group stages of the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

And they took the advantage in the first-leg with a convincing 3-1 win away from home, with Rantie scoring in the 14th minute, before he won a penalty with 10 minutes left to play, which was converted by Andile Jali.

Bafana Banana won the second-leg 1-0, going through 4-1 on aggregate.
