There is nothing quite like an inspired bit of skill or a big finish to brighten up your week, and here at Shoot! we are always on the look out for the best to bring you.

Amid some spectacular strikes in the English Football League over the weekend, there was one magnificent effort that stood out over in Spain’s La Liga, from a certain Fernando Torres.

Yes, the former Chelsea and Liverpool forward rolled back the years to execute a stupendous overhead kick during Atletico Madrid’s 3-2 victory over Celta Vigo on Sunday night.

The 32-year-old, who scored 85 goals in 212 Premier League appearances for The Blues and The Reds respectively between 2007 and 2015, levelled for the hosts with this acrobatic strike (Above) after 11 minutes following Gustavo Cabral’s fifth minute opener for Celta Vigo.

Torres lifted the UEFA Champions League (2012), the UEFA Europa League (2013) and the FA Cup (2012), all with Chelsea, during his time in English football.
