Former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo has claimed that he would love to see his Brazilian compatriot Philippe Coutinho play for the Galacticos, according to Onda Cero.

The 40-year-old, who scored a remarkable 105 goals in 185 appearances for the La Liga giants between 2002 and 2007, winning two league titles, told the Spanish radio station that the Liverpool midfielder should be someone Real Madrid should be looking to sign.

The Brazil legend, who lifted two FIFA World Cups with his country (1994 and 2002), said, “I would love to see Coutinho at Real Madrid.

“I would like to see Coutinho at Real Madrid, the Liverpool player.”

The Brazilian playmaker is understood to be in line to earn a new contract at Anfield following an array of impressive performances so far this season, which in turn have reportedly attracted the interest of Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, as well as Madrid’s La Liga rivals, FC Barcelona.

Coutinho has scored four goals and provided three assists in nine appearances in all competitions for the Reds this campaign.
