Liverpool fans can rest assured knowing that their side will feature in next season’s Champions League, after Jurgen Klopp’s side pulled off a remarkable end of season turnaround.

The Reds were 10 points adrift of the top four in eight place with 10 games remaining, however a stunning end of season run of form meant that they ended up in third and qualified for next season’s competition.

Their defence of their first ever Premier League title may have been something of a disaster, but Klopp will be optimistic ahead of the return of first choice central defensive pairing Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk, both of whom have missed the vast majority of this season through injury.

In the pair’s absence, along with Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold, youngsters Nat Phillips, Neco Williams and Rhys Williams have all impressed when called upon.

However, it appears that the latter will have to go out on loan to earn his stripes before he can be involved in the first team squad again.

Williams started all of Liverpool’s final five league games of the season, but could be sent out on loan next term.

According to The Daily Star, the youngster will be shipped out on loan next term, with Klopp keen on signing Ibrahima Konate to provide competition for places to his top two centre backs.

Despite making 19 appearances this term and impressing fans and pundits alike, it appears that Williams’ immediate future may lie away from Anfield.

The news will come as a shock to Liverpool supporters, many of whom have been impressed with Williams’ form since being introduced to the first team set up at the start of the season.

Demand for the youngster will be high, and it is likely that he will secure a loan move to a side elsewhere in the Premier League after proving his worth this season.
