Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City target Moussa Dembele will not be available in January, according to his manager (via the Daily Record).
The Premier League trio, who currently sit sixth, third and fourth in the English top-flight table respectively after their opening 14 league fixtures, have all been linked with a move for the in-form Celtic striker in the New Year.
The 20-year-old, who has featured four times for France’s Under-20 squad, has impressively scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish Premiership champions so far this season.
Dembele, who joined Celtic from Championship side Fulham back in late-June, is alerting some of Europe’s top football clubs following his goalscoring exploits this term, including the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, as well as the linked Premier League trio.
But when asked whether the Frenchman will be moving on once the January transfer window opens, Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers, replied, “No, I don’t think it will be January.
“Moussa doesn’t need to go to, with all due respect, to a bottom-end Premier League team, because he’s playing for a big club in front of 60,000 fans a week.”
The report suggests Dembele’s value has rocketed to around £20m following his sensational start to the 2016/17 campaign.
