Burnley have reportedly made an offer for Nottingham Forest winger Jamie Paterson.

The Clarets, who suffered relegation from the Premier League last season, are understood to have tabled an undisclosed bid for the 23-year-old forward.

Paterson, who joined Forest from Walsall in 2013, managed to score just one goal in 25 appearances in all competitions for Dougie Freedman’s side last season.

With just one year remaining on his current deal at the City Ground, Sean Dyche’s Burnley could capitalise upon Paterson’s lack of first-team action with Forest, although Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers are also reportedly interested.
