Cardiff City are reportedly eyeing a move to sign West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Boaz Myhill on a season-long loan deal.

The Baggies want to bring in Bluebirds stopper David Marshall, but don’t want to pay more than £5m, and now they could offer the Championship outfit money plus the Wales international as part of any potential transfer for the Scot.

The 32-year-old is understood to be part of Tony Pulis’ long-term plans after penning a new two-year contract last month, but the former Stoke City boss could be tempted to let Myhill go in order to get his man.

Myhill made seven Premier League appearances at the end of the 2014/15 campaign following an injury suffered by the previous number one, Ben Foster.
