SHOOT would like to wish former France international striker Thierry Henry many happy returns as he celebrates his 41st birthday this evening.
The Arsenal legend, who joined The Gunners back in August 1999, enjoyed two spells at the North London outfit, becoming the club’s all-time record goalscorer.
Henry netted an incredible 228 goals in 377 appearances in all competitions under former manager Arsene Wenger, winning seven honours – two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two FA Community Shields and the UEFA Champions League.
Named the Gunners’ Greatest Player of all-time on the club’s official website, the Arsenal hero started his career in his homeland with AS Monaco, before joining Juventus, where he struggled to adapt to Italian football, and ended up at Highbury just a few months later.
Spells at FC Barcelona and New York Red Bulls followed, before returning to Arsenal on a short-term loan deal in 2012.
So, to celebrate the Gunners’ greatest-ever player’s latest milestone, SHOOT has put together five of Henry’s most defining moments of his Arsenal Career in Pictures. Enjoy!
