The England defender immediately became a regular feature at the heart of the Manchester United back four, and went on to appear 46 times in all competitions in his first season at Old Trafford.

During that time, he helped the Red Devils win their eighth Premier League title in 11 years, and can be seen here in action in their penultimate game of the season, a 4-1 victory over Charlton Athletic.
