Scotland international defender Kieran Tierney has been added to Manchester United’s transfer shortlist of left-backs, according to the Daily Record.

The Premier League side, who host Championship club Derby County in the third round of the FA Cup on Friday night (20:00), have been continuously linked with a move for Celtic’s highly-rated full-back for numerous transfer windows.

The 20-year-old, who already has nine senior international caps for his country, has scored three goals and provided seven assists in 36 appearances in all competitions for the defending Scottish Premiership champions so far this season.

Tierney, who has been a lifelong Bhoys fan and joined Celtic when he was just seven-years-old, has netted six times in 111 games overall for Brendan Rodgers’ outfit.

The report claims the Scottish starlet has been included on The Red Devils’ shortlist of left-backs the club could target to strengthen their defensive ranks, with United officials continually scouting the Celtic defender.

Manager Jose Mourinho is understood to want to recruit a more experienced full-back during the January transfer window, but Tierney has been put forward as a long-term, cheaper alternative.
