Cardiff City have reportedly slapped a staggering £10m price tag on Everton target David Marshall.

The Premier League side, who face Dagenham and Redbridge in the FA Cup this weekend, are thought to be lining up a January bid for the Scotland international goalkeeper.

The 30-year-old, who has 20 international caps for his country, has kept nine clean sheets in 21 league games for Russell Slade’s Championship outfit so far this season.

Marshall, who cost the Bluebirds just £500,000 from Norwich City back in May 2009, is wanted by Toffees boss Roberto Martinez to fight fellow shot stopper Tim Howard for the number one jersey at Goodison Park this year.

Premier League rivals West Brom have also been reportedly linked with moves for Marshall in the past.
