Charlton Athletic are reportedly hopefully of securing a loan deal for former Addicks striker Yann Kermorgant.

The Championship outfit, who remain in the league’s bottom three despite defeating promotion hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 on Saturday, are keen to bolster their attacking options having scored just 14 goals from their opening 16 league games.

Striker Yann Kermorgant has scored just one goal this season for Premier League newboys AFC Bournemouth.

The 34-year-old, who only left The Valley for newly promoted top-flight side AFC Bournemouth last January, has scored just one goal in seven appearances in all competitions for the Cherries so far this season.

Kermorgant, who scored 32 goals in 96 games for Charlton to help the club clinch the League One title back in 2012, has thought to be identified as the desired signing to new interim boss Karel Fraeye to help the Addicks stave off relegation by strengthening their goalscoring threat this term.
