Chelsea are reportedly set to loan out Netherlands international Marco van Ginkel during the forthcoming January transfer window, according to the Express.

The Premier League side, who climbed up to second in the top-flight standings after thrashing Everton 5-0 at Stamford Bridge, are ready to move the central midfielder on once more in the new year period considering he is surplus to requirements under manager Antonio Conte.

The 23-year-old, who has six international caps for his country, has failed to make a single first-team appearance for The Blues so far this season.

Van Ginkel, who has been training with the club’s Under-23 side, joined Chelsea from Vitesse Arnhem back in July 2013 following his reported £8m switch.

A knee injury has hindered the Dutchman’s 2016/17 campaign, although he did feature in The Blues’ Premier League 2 draw against Everton (1-1) in late-October.

The midfielder has already enjoyed loan spells at AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven and Stoke City during his time at Stamford Bridge.
