Chelsea have agreed terms with Borussia Dortmund to sign Christian Pulisic in the summer, according to German newspaper, Bild.

The USA international’s contract expires in 2020, and the German club aren’t willing to offer a new deal, thanks to the emergence of Jadon Sancho at the club.

Reportedly offering £45million for the services of the winger, the Blues have stolen a mark on other clubs who are thought to also be interested in the attacker, such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Bundesliga expert, Raphael Honigstein appeared on Sky Sports’ Sunday Supplement, and said that Chelsea were the only club to have made a genuine offer.

Pulisic has scored one goal, and two assists in 11 league appearances so far this season for the current league leaders.

The 20-year-old has been pivotal in Dortmund’s UEFA Champions League campaign, starting four of their six matches, and scoring the only goal in their first group match, against Club Brugge.

Chelsea are hoping the addition of the American will improve their attacking record, as the London club are the only one of the top-six who are averaging less than two goals per game in this Premier League season.
