Chelsea have now been knocked out of both domestic cups by Manchester City this season, with a 4-0 humiliation on Sunday ending their FA Cup run at the first hurdle.

Pep Guardiola’s side eliminated The Blues from the Carabao Cup back in November, and their emphatic win at The Etihad on Sunday ensured that Chelsea’s dismal run of form continues.

Graham Potter’s side have now won just one of their last ten matches across all competitions, and the ex-Brighton man looks increasingly likely to turn to the transfer market in an effort to change his side’s fortunes.

David Datro Fofana and Benoit Badiashile have already joined the club and now The Blues have reportedly agreed to meet the demands of Atletico Madrid in order to sign Joao Felix.

According to The Daily Record’s Duncan Castles, The Blues have offered to meet Atletico’s demands in an attempt to sign Felix on loan for the remainder of the current season.

The Portuguese star is believed to be unhappy in the Spanish capital and has also been linked with other clubs including Manchester United and Arsenal.

Felix, 23, has reportedly told some of his teammates that he wishes to move to the Premier League this month, amid an alleged ongoing feud with manager Diego Simeone.

The Atletico boss is also ready to let Felix leave, and new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly looks prepared to meet the La Liga side’s financial demands.

Felix could reportedly be on his way to Stamford Bridge

Felix joined Atletico from Benfica back in 2019 for a staggering £113 million, and has since made more than 130 appearances for the Spanish side.

In that time, he has scored 34 goals and provided 18 assists, but his time with the club looks to be coming to an end.

Castles claims that Chelsea are willing to pay around £9.7 million to land the playmaker on a loan deal until the end of the current campaign.

The Premier League side are believed to be intent on reaching an agreement that would also include an option-to-buy clause, with the player reportedly keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.

A number of Chelsea’s current crop of attackers have been linked with moves away from the club in recent weeks, including Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic.

The trio have all been in poor form for The Blues, and it looks like Potter is planning on signing new recruits in an attempt to improve his side’s poor goal scoring form.
