Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has established himself as one of the Premier League’s best coaches in the past nine months, having guided the Blues to a second Champions League title and lead them to a commanding early position in the title race.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss has turned the Blues’ backline into a completely different unit altogether, with their defensive robustness a world away from the leakiness that plagued them in recent seasons.

The German has also fine-tuned their attack, with Romelu Lukaku spearheading a much more efficient front line.

The Belgian is surrounded by a plethora of attacking talent, and few would bet against the club being involved in the title race this term.

However, one of Chelsea’s attackers is now being linked with a move elsewhere, although it appears that he won’t be going to Tuchel’s homeland.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Bundesliga side Bayern Munich are not considering a swap deal that would involve Cristian Pulisic and Leroy Sane.

Pulisic has been hampered by injuries during his time in SW6

The Italian reporter has insisted that rumours of a potential swap deal are untrue, despite speculation surrounding the possibility of a deal.

Sane joined the Bundesliga champions in 2020 but has struggled with injuries during his first 18 months in Germany.

Pulisic, meanwhile, has also been plagued by injuries throughout his time in the capital, since joining from Bayern’s rivals Dortmund in 2019.

Tuchel had reportedly been open to the idea of letting Pulisic go providing a replacement could be sourced, making a swap deal the ideal opportunity. However, Romano has moved quickly to dismiss the rumours.

Sane, meanwhile, is believed to be regarded as surplus by his current employers, and could therefore leave the club as soon as January.
