Chelsea and Tottenham go head to head on Wednesday in the first of three matches between the two clubs this month.

The Carabao Cup semi-final first leg tie at Stamford Bridge will be the second times the two clubs have met this season, after the Blues were victorious with a 3-0 win earlier in the season.

With a trilogy of ties between the two bitter rivals in the coming weeks, it appears that Chelsea and Spurs are not only rivalling each other on the pitch, but also off it.

The two sides are reportedly both interested in Club Brugge striker Charles De Ketelaere, who reportedly has a £33 million price tag attached to him.

However, both clubs could miss out on the player, with Leicester City also jostling for his signature.

De Ketelaere is one of the biggest young stars in Belgian football at present

According to The Leicester Mercury, the Foxes are ‘very interested’ in the 20-year-old, who has scored nine goals and registered six assists in 21 games so far this term.

The Belgian is an international teammate of Foxes midfielder Youri Tielemans and Timothy Castagne, and has scored once in four international caps since making his debut in November 2020.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna took to Twitter to explain that Leicester are ‘very interested’ in the player, also stating that the club have scouted him on more than one occasion and will likely table an offer for the summer.
