Chelsea’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League were dealt a blow as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Ipswich Town on Sunday.

The Blues could have moved back into fourth spot with victory, but the Tractor Boys took an early lead through Julio Enciso and found themselves 2-0 ahead shortly after the hour mark, courtesy of Ben Johnson.

Enzo Maresca’s side halved the deficit shortly after the restart when Axel Tuanzebe put through his own net, and Jadon Sancho then drew the hosts level in the closing stages.

The result leaves the Blues sixth in the Premier League table, with only the top five qualifying automatically for the Champions League next season.

Maresca will be keen to change his side’s fortunes sooner rather than later, but away from the action it has emerged that the West London outfit remain interested in one of Europe’s most prolific strikers.

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are one of a number of Premier League sides interested in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Vlahovic could be on the move this summer

The report claims that Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United are all interested in the Serb, who could be available this summer for a fee of around £45 million.

Vlahovic, 25, joined Juventus from Fiorentina in 2022 and has since scored 55 goals in 138 games for the Old Lady across all competitions.

He has netted 14 times in 37 games so far this season, as well as providing five assists.

Spanish side Barcelona and German giants Bayern Munich are also said to be monitoring the Serbia international, who is under contract until the end of next season.

It is claimed that interested Premier League sides could make initial offers of around £40 million for the striker, who has been heavily linked with a move to England in recent years.
