Chelsea have reportedly opened talks to sign Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez this summer, according to RMC.

The Premier League leaders, who currently sit seven points clear of second placed Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the standings, have been continuously linked with a move for the Arsenal star come the end of the current 2016-17 campaign.

The 28-year-old, who has 108 international caps for his country, has scored 22 goals and provided 18 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for The Gunners so far this season.

Sanchez, who is also said to be attracting interest from defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium next summer, but is stalling on a new deal in North London.

The report suggests Premier League rivals Chelsea have already begun discussions to lure the Chilean ace to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2017-18 term.

Sanchez has netted 64 times in 134 games overall for Arsene Wenger’s side.
