Chelsea boss Franks Lampard ramps up the Declan Rice transfer speculation as he likes Instagram post of John Terry meeting the West Ham United midfielder, according to the Metro. 

Having already completed a number of attacking signings this summer, it is now thought Lampard is looking to improve his squad’s defensive capabilities.

In recent months West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has been linked with the West Londoners, with a potential £60million plus fee on the cards.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will know he has to improve his defence.

Rice is already friendly with a few of the young Chelsea players, most notably with Mason Mount who he has known since they were very young.

Chelsea fans were sent into raptures this afternoon, when Blues legend John Terry posted a picture on Instagram alongside Rice, with a caption reading:

“What a centre-back partnership this would have been Declan Rice. I’m playing LCB though!”

The rumour-mill has now intensified with Frank Lampard liking the post. West Ham fans will be desperate to hold on to their prized asset, who came through the youth ranks with the Hammers.
