Thomas Tuchel currently has more Champions League trophies than full seasons as Chelsea manager under his belt.

The German’s first pre-season at the helm of Stamford Bridge is now upon him as he is set to have his training ground flooded with swathes upon swathes of returning Chelsea loan players.

A number of these players will be youthful academy products who will likely be loaned back out before they even meet the former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain manager.

Yet there are still many big names amongst this horde who have been completely forgotten about by Chelsea fans and rival supporters alike.

They may have been promising young academy products who impressed in stints before being loaned out, as well as previous transfers which did not quite work out and were just loaned out of sight and out of mind.

One of these players is Tiemoue Bakayoko who is reportedly set for another loan move to AC Milan according to Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sport.

Bakayoko was signed by Chelsea for £40 million in the summer of 2017.

He had just enjoyed a fantastic season for Monaco which saw them reach the semi-finals of the Champions League and win Ligue One.

Chelsea swooped in straight away and it appeared Blues manager Antonio Conte had found the perfect midfielder to partner N’Golo Kante.

Kante has a strong history of partnering midfielders and perhaps making them look better than they actually are; however, even he was not able to get the best out of Bakayoko who was loaned out to AC Milan the following season.

The Italian giants want to take the Frenchman on loan again, as Bakayoko impressed while on loan for Napoli in the previous season.

Bakayoko’s Chelsea contract expires next year and this would likely be the Frenchman’s last ever loan spell before he is a free agent.
