Chelsea will hope to continue their good run of form when they face Bournemouth on the final day of the season on Sunday.

The Blues beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1 last time out, stretching their winning run to four games.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino will expect to see his side defeat the Cherries at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, and the Blues could still finish as high as fifth in the Premier League table if they win and London rivals Tottenham Hotspur lose against Sheffield United.

Despite Chelsea’s recent improvement, it appears that those in charge of the club are still considering Pochettino’s future.

As per The Guardian, the West London outfit are considering a shock move for Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna.

The report claims that the club’s bosses are still uncertain about the future of Pochettino, who is set to undergo an end-of-season review this summer.

McKenna has been linked with a number of high profile jobs since guiding Ipswich back to the Premier League

If the Argentine is dismissed, Chelsea could make a sensational swoop for Northern Irishman McKenna, who has guided the Tractor Boys to back-to-back promotions.

The 38-year-old took charge of Ipswich in December 2021 before achieving promotion from League One last season.

The Tractor Boys have since taken the second tier by storm and secured a return to the Premier League by finishing second behind Championship winners Leicester City.

McKenna has been linked with the soon-to-be-vacant managerial role at Brighton and Hove Albion, following the announcement on Saturday that current Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi will depart The Amex after Sunday’s game against Manchester United.

While Chelsea look set to secure European football for next season, the report suggests that the club’s decision makers are currently undecided on the future of Pochettino and could still opt to dismiss the former Tottenham Hotspur manager.
