Chelsea considering move for former £6m Premier League flop

Chelsea are reportedly considering a shock move for former Blackburn Rovers striker Nikola Kalinic.

The defending Premier League champions, who currently sit just five points above the bottom three after their opening 13 fixtures, are monitoring the Fiorentina hitman ahead of the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old, who has 26 international caps for Croatia, has scored an impressive 13 goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit this season.

Kalinic, who left Blackburn in the summer of 2011, scored just 13 goals for Rovers during his two-year spell at Ewood Park after arriving from Hajduk Split for a reported fee of £6m back in August 2009.
