Chelsea will find out their FA Cup fourth round opponents on Monday evening, with the draw taking place ahead of Manchester United’s game against League One side Wigan Athletic.

The Blues cruised past Championship side Preston North End on Saturday, with Armando Broja, Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling, and Enzo Fernandez all on the scoresheet at Stamford Bridge.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side also have a two-legged Carabao Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough coming up in the next few weeks, and the Argentine will be desperate to reach a final in his first season in charge of the club.

In the meantime, the Blues are reportedly considering a sensational move for a Serie A star.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb via Football London, Chelsea are considering a shock move for AS Roma forward Paulo Dybala.

The report claims that the West London club have identified the 30-year-old as a potential target as they look to bolster Pochettino’s attacking options this month.

Dybala could be available to English clubs at a low price this month

Dybala joined Roma from fellow Italian giants Juventus back in the summer of 2022, and he has since scored 22 goals in 54 games for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Despite his importance to Roma, the report claims that Dybala’s current contract includes a release clause set at just £10.3 million.

According to the report, the clause is only available to clubs outside of Italy, and it is also said to expire on 15 January, meaning that Chelsea have very little time to make a move for the Argentina international.

If they were to do so, they would also have to persuade Dybala himself to swap Roma for London, while his current employers are hopeful of tying him down to a new long-term deal.

Chelsea have struggled in front of goal so far this season, and it appears that Pochettino is keen to bolster his attacking options.
