Chelsea could reportedly look to sell Spain international striker Álvaro Morata in January, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who were pinned back to a late 1-1 draw against in-form Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening, have been linked with offloading the forward to Juventus during the forthcoming New Year transfer window.

The 25-year-old, who has 23 international caps for his country, has scored just one goal in nine appearances in all competitions for The Blues so far this season.

Morata, who arrived at Stamford Bridge back in July 2017 following his club-record £58m move from La Liga giants Real Madrid, has netted 16 times in 57 games overall for the club.

Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata celebrates scoring against Arsenal.

However, the report claims the striker is already battling to save his future at Chelsea under new manager Maurizio Sarri, having lost his first-team spot to fellow forward Olivier Giroud this term.

The Blues may consider cashing in on the Spaniard, should former club Juventus firm up their interest in re-signing Morata during the January market.

He is contracted at the club until June 2022, and netted 27 goals in 93 games for Juve during his two-year spell in Turin (2014-2016).
