Chelsea produced one of their finest displays of the season so far to earn a 1-1 draw against Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday.

The Blues arrived in Manchester off the back of a crucial victory over Crystal Palace in their previous outing, and former Citizen Raheem Sterling put Mauricio Pochettino’s side ahead when he finished off a superb counter attack.

The visitors looked to be heading for a famous victory at The Etihad, before midfielder Rodri’s late deflected strike drew City level.

The result keeps Chelsea tenth in the top flight table, while City remain third and have lost ground on leaders Liverpool.

Now, though, it appears that Chelsea could be planning a sensational move for a Premier League legend.

As per Football Insider, the West London outfit are monitoring Harry Kane’s situation at German side Bayern Munich.

The England captain departed Chelsea’s London rivals Tottenham Hotspur last summer to join the Bundesliga champions, but his time in Bavaria hasn’t gone to plan so far.

Kane has endured a frustrating start to life in Germany

While Kane has scored 28 goals in 29 games across all competitions, but Bayern have already been knocked out of the German Cup and currently sit five points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table.

The report claims that Chelsea have heard that Kane isn’t entirely happy at his current club, and could be tempted by the prospect of a return to England.

Kane, 30, sits second in the list of the Premier League’s all time top scorers, having netted 213 times in the competitions before leaving for Germany.

It is also claimed that Chelsea would be willing to match the fee that Bayern paid to sign Kane last summer, which is believed to be in the region of £82 million.

Kane’s current contract with the German side is set to run until 2027, but he may leave Munich prior to that date if he isn’t successful in winning the first trophy of his career.
