Chelsea look to be on the verge of signing Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling, but the England international may not be the only big name arrival at Stamford Bridge this summer.

According to ESPN, the Blues have been contacted by the agents of Brazilian superstar Neymar over the possibility of signing the forward.

They were reportedly asked about the extent of their interest in the player.

The report claims that the 30-year-old has been told by current club Paris Saint-Germain that he can leave this summer, and Chelsea have emerged as one of the favourites to land the forward.

Neymar signed for PSG from Barcelona for £200 million back in 2017, but could now leave the French side for a much lower fee as they look to remove him from their wage bill.

Chelsea have been contacted by Neymar’s agents

PSG have signed both Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi in recent seasons, threatening Neymar’s status as their talisman.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel worked with the player during his time in the French capital, and the German is rumoured to be keen on the idea of a reunion.

Neymar has scored 105 goals and provided 76 assists in 186 games for PSG, and would add some much needed firepower to Chelsea’s frontline.

New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is keen to make at least one statement signing this summer in a bid to move the club closer to once again challenging for league titles.
