England moved a step closer to qualifying for next year’s European Championship with a 7-0 win over North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday.

Bukayo Saka netted his first career hat-trick, while captain Harry Kane also netted twice during what was a comfortable victory for the Three Lions.

Marcus Rashford and Kalvin Phillips were also on the scoresheet, with the latter netting his first international goal.

The game also allowed manager Gareth Southgate to give game time to some of his squad’s fringe players, including the likes of Conor Gallagher and Callum Wilson.

Now, it appears that Chelsea midfielder Gallagher could be on the move this summer.

As per Football Insider, the west London outfit are considering including the midfielder as part of a player-plus-cash offer for Moises Caicedo.

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder for some time now, but the report claims that they could look to include a player in their offer in order to help balance the books after a year of spending.

Since taking charge of the club last summer, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has spent more than £500 million on new signings, and the west London outfit must now offload a number of players in order to adhere to Financial Fair Play restrictions.

Gallagher could be one of several outgoings at Chelsea this summer

Caicedo, 21, has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in the Premier League over the past 18 months.

The Ecuador international was the subject of significant interest from Arsenal back in January, but the Gunners failed to agree a deal and Caicedo later signed a new contract with the Seagulls.

It is claimed that Chelsea are hoping to tie up a deal for Caicedo as soon as possible, and will therefore launch an official bid for the player this week.

Gallagher, meanwhile, enjoyed a fine first full season with boyhood club Chelsea this term, having previously spent time out on loan with both West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace.

The England international, 23, has reportedly attracted interest from both Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United as well as Brighton.

This term, he made 45 appearances across all competitions and played in 35 of Chelsea’s 38 Premier League matches.
