Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has reportedly been approached by FC Barcelona and Milan.

The Denmark international is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning he’ll be able to talk to overseas clubs about a pre-contract agreement in January.

Both Barcelona and Milan will be aware of that potential scenario and, according to Italian football expert Fabrizio Romano, the duo are making an attempt to get the 25-year-old to leave Stamford Bridge.

However, Fabrizio adds that both the Spanish and Italian giants feel that Christensen will commit to Chelsea and that it could happen in the coming days/weeks.

It’s claimed that the Blues have everything sorted on their side and that they are just waiting for the centre-back to put pen-to-paper.

Christensen joined Chelsea in 2014 but spent two seasons (2015/16 and 2016/17) out on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.

He has however established himself as a key player under Thomas Tuchel and was instrumental in the Champions League final victory over Man City back in May after coming on as a first half substitute for Thiago Silva.

The defender then played an important part for his country as Denmark reached the semi-final stage at Euro 2020.
