Chelsea’s pre-season headlines were dominated by new arrivals at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues spent big in the transfer market, signing the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell for big money.

After finishing fourth last term, many expected the investment to propel the club into title contention.

All seemed to be going well for Frank Lampard and his side who put together a 17-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

But six games later and they have recorded just one win, leaving the Chelsea legend firmly under pressure.

Now the transfer window is here, fans will be keeping an eye out for names linked with moves both in and out of Stamford Bridge.

One of those who, according to reports, could be set for a move to another Premier League club is Fikayo Tomori.

BBC Sport report that the defender’s ‘likely destination’ looks to be a loan switch to  Leeds United.

Tomori enjoyed a breakthrough season at Chelsea last term.

Tomori had a real breakthrough season with Chelsea last season, making 22 appearances in all competitions.

This led to the 23-year-old earning a first senior England cap and being rewarded with a new long-term deal in December 2019.

However, the arrival of Thiago Silva has seen Tomori fall down the pecking order this term – so much so that he’s played just three times in all competitions.

It’s no surprise Marcelo Bielsa is looking for another centre-back as Robin Koch is sidelined with a long-term injury.

And with Tomori desperate to get back to playing regular football, it seems that this could be a temporary deal to suit all parties.
