Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping the international break doesn’t disrupt his side’s momentum after they recorded a third consecutive victory on Saturday.

The Blues have endured a difficult start to the new season but have now beaten Brighton and Hove Albion, Fulham, and Burnley in their past three games.

Last time out, Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson were on the scoresheet as the West London outfit cruised to a 4-1 win over the Clarets at Turf Moor.

Going into the international break, Pochettino’s side sit tenth in the top flight table, and the Argentine will be hoping that his side can move up the table when domestic football returns.

Before then, though, it appears that one of Chelsea’s defenders remains interested in a move to Germany.

Chalobah remains a target for German champions Bayern Munich

According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, defender Trevoh Chalobah remains a target for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and is still interested in joining the club.

The 24-year-old is a product of Chelsea’s youth academy and has made 63 senior appearances for the club across all competitions at senior level.

He was heavily linked with a move to Bavaria over the summer but the move never materialised, however Plettenberg claims that the German side remain interested in signing him.

He claims that Chalobah is likely to leave Stamford Bridge, and that a loan deal with an option-to-buy clause included could be an option.

Chalobah is yet to feature this season due to injury but, when he does return to full fitness, the Englishman will be competing with the likes of Thiago Silva, Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi for a place in Pochettino’s side.
