Chelsea are keen on a Deadline day deal for Leicester City striker Islam Slimani, accoridng to reports.

The Algeria international is currently on loan at AS Monaco where he has registered seven goals and seven assists in Ligue 1.

However, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, the French side may soon lose the 31-year-old’s services as he reports that Chelsea would like to acquire the forward from the Foxes.

Frank Lampard is aiming to boost his attacking options with Olivier Giroud’s future uncertain.

Giroud has started just two Premier League matches this season.

It’s thought the Frenchman could leave Stamford Bridge in order to find regular game time ahead of Euro 2020.

But it’s claimed that Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan are also looking at signing Slimani.

Leicester signed the goal-getter from Sporting Lisbon for a reported £28million in 2016.

Slimani, who has since had spells will Newcastle United, Fenerbahce and now Monaco, has netted 13 times in 47 games for the Foxes.
