Chelsea face French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the Club World Cup in New Jersey on Sunday.

Enzo Maresca’s side defeated Brazilian side Fluminense in the semi-finals on Tuesday evening, and their reward was a clash with Champions League holders PSG on Sunday.

The Blues won the competition – in its previous format – just four years ago but they will go into Sunday’s game as outsiders against a PSG side that defeated Real Madrid 4-0 in a hugely impressive display in the semis.

New signing Joao Pedro netted twice against Fluminense last time out, and looks set to start the final against PSG.

Another of the forwards in Maresca’s squad could be on his way out of the club in the coming weeks, though, according to reports.

TBR Football claims that German champions Bayern Munich remain interested in Christopher Nkunku, who is still likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Frenchman had previously enjoyed a hugely successful spell in Germany with RB Leipzig, but has struggled to recreate his best form since joining Chelsea in 2023.

Nkunku netted 15 times across all competitions last term but struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in the Premier League, and the report claims that the West London side are willing to let him leave this summer.

The 27-year-old was linked with a move to the Bundesliga giants earlier this summer but has since started four of Chelsea’s seven games at the Club World Cup so far.

The report claims, however, that Chelsea’s stance on the Frenchman hasn’t changed and that the club are still intent on letting Nkunku leave the club this summer.

Nkunku’s contract with the Blues is set to expire at the end of the 2028/29 season.
