Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a sensational move for FC Porto star Yacine Brahimi.

It is understood that the Premier League champions, who have only picked up eight points from their opening seven league games, are interested in the Algeria international, who has an extraordinary buy-out clause of £44.1m.

The 25-year-old, who has 23 international caps to his name, scored 13 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese giants last season.

With the Blues already eight points adrift of league leaders Manchester United by the end of September, manager Jose Mourinho is seemingly willing to stump up some serious cash in January in a bid to turn around his side’s slippery season so far.
