Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Dean Henderson’s situation at Manchester United, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has impressed on loan at Sheffield United in his first season in the Premier League, keeping 10 clean sheets so far.

Henderson’s performances have put him in contention for a spot in England’s Euro 2020 squad.

However, with David de Gea currently United’s undisputed number 1, the Mirror report that it’s unclear if he is in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for next term.

De Gea has come under fire for mistakes this season.

If the shot-stopper isn’t required at Old Trafford, it’s claimed Chelsea could make a move for the £25million-rated Cumbrian whose deal runs until 2022.

Despite recalling Kepa Arrizabalaga for Monday’s FA Cup win against Liverpool, it’s thought that Frank Lampard is unconvinced by the Spaniard and is on the lookout for a new goalkeeper.

And it’s claimed the Blues boss is an admirer of the current Blades star and could be set to make a summer swoop.

Henderson, who Sheffield United are keen to bring in on loan again next term, has yet to make a senior appearance for Manchester United.
