Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a summer move for Argentina international forward Gonzalo Higuain, according to Forza Italian Football.
The defending Premier League champions, who currently sit tenth in the standings respectively after their 1-1 draw at home to Stoke City last weekend, are interested in recruiting Napoli’s star striker come the end of the current 2015-16 campaign.
The 28-year-old, who has 54 international caps for his country, has scored a sensational 28 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit so far this season.
Higuain, who joined the Italian top-flight club from Real Madrid back in July 2013 for a reported fee of €40m, is also being pursued by defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
With current Italy boss Antonio Conte set to be appointed Blues manager once the 2015-16 campaign has finished, the former Juventus coach has reportedly earmarked a move for the Argentine hitman as one of his first preferred additions at Stamford Bridge.
