Chelsea eyeing forward Marco Asensio should Real Madrid launch £120m offer for Eden Hazard

Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for Spain international forward Marco Asensio, according to Diario Gol.

The defending Premier League champions, who have lost back-to-back league games against AFC Bournemouth and Watford respectively, have been linked with a move for the Real Madrid winger, should the Spanish giants make a mega money offer for Blues star Eden Hazard this summer.

The 22-year-old, who has eight international caps for his country, has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for the defending La Liga champions so far this season.

Asensio, who joined Madrid from Mallorca back in December 2014, has netted 18 goals in 70 games overall for Zinedine Zidane’s side.

The report suggests The Blues could look to bring in the Spaniard if Belgian Hazard departs for the Bernabeu this summer, with Real Madrid understood to be lining up a whopping £120m offer for the fellow winger.

Asensio is valued at £45m, by transfermarkt.
