Chelsea will be hoping to return to winning ways when they welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Blues have endured a mixed run of results so far this season, winning four but losing five games in the Premier League.

Prior to the international break, Mauricio Pochettino’s side looked to have found a winning formula after they beat Tottenham Hotspur and drew with reigning champions Manchester City.

That run was abruptly ended on Saturday, though, as Chelsea slumped to a 4-1 defeat against Newcastle United at St James’ Park.

The result leaves Pochettino’s side tenth in the top flight table, and the Argentine will be desperate to see his players improve when the Seagulls arrive in West London on Sunday afternoon.

In the meantime, Chelsea have reportedly been joined by French giants Paris Saint Germain in the race to sign a Brazilian starlet.

Moscardo’s performances for Corinthians have attracted interest from some of Europe’s top clubs

According to 90min, the Ligue 1 champions have joined Chelsea and Barcelona in showing an interest in Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo.

The 18-year-old has been in fine form for the Brazilian side over the past few months, making 23 appearances across all competitions.

His performances had initially attracted interest from both Chelsea and Barcelona, but the report claims that PSG have now also joined the race to sign the teenager.

The Blues had an offer for the midfielder rejected over the summer, the report claims, but they remain interested in signing him.

Despite this, Chelsea are said to be of the feeling that the player himself would prefer a move elsewhere.

It is also claimed that PSG are hoping to beat their rivals to the player’s signature by offering to sign him in January, when the Brazilian season ends.
