Chelsea facing Champions League opposition for Tielemans deal

Chelsea have all eyes on the FA Cup semi-final this weekend as they take on Tottenham to book a place in the final against either Manchester City or Arsenal, who face off in the second semi-final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

However, whilst the west Londoners are distracted by business under the arch, others are making moves on their summer targets.

According to reports from Le 10 Sport in France, Ligue 1 leaders Monaco are closing in on a deal for Anderlecht sensation, Youri Tielemans.

The report claims the Champions League semi-finalists, who knocked out Pep Guardiola’s side earlier in the competition, are close to agreeing a €20m deal for the 19-year-old, who has been compared to Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.

The Blues have been credited with serious interest in the Belgium international as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his side ahead of the return of European football to Stamford Bridge next season.
