Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has still yet to be offered a new contract by the Premier League champions despite interest from Real Madrid, reports Het Nieuwsbald (via ESPN).

The 26-year-old has been in sensational form for Antonio Conte’s men, with his 16 goals and five assists in 36 league starts an integral reason why the Blues stormed to the title this season.

This all comes after a woeful 2015/16 campaign which saw the Belgian international struggle to just four Premier League goals in the entirety of the season, yet his stunning efforts this term have many again saying that he is one of, if not the, best player in English football.

And he’ll once again be Chelsea’s go-to man in their FA Cup final clash with Arsenal this evening (5.30pm kick-off), as the Blues go in search of the Double for only the second time in their history.

And Hazard’s displays this term have unsurprisingly attracted interest from Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid over the course of the campaign, and Hazard has confirmed that he has yet to receive a new deal from Chelsea despite the recent speculation.

He said: ‘At this moment, there’s nothing on the table. We’re waiting for the end of the season.

‘I’m still calm. We will talk. If not, then we’ll see.’

These comments may concern Chelsea fans slightly given how brilliant Hazard has been this term, and with Conte’s men embarking on a title defence and Champions League campaign next season, they simply cannot afford to let their best players go.

As aforementioned, Chelsea entertain Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley this evening, and Blues fans will be sincerely hoping that it is not the last time they see Hazard don the blue of the club.
