Chelsea go into the international break having won, drawn and lost in their opening three games of the Premier League season.

After an opening weekend defeat against Manchester City, the Blues cruised to a 6-2 win over Wolves at Molineux, before being held to a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

New head coach Enzo Maresca will be relatively pleased with his side’s start to the new campaign, especially considering the chaos that gripped the club during the summer transfer window.

Now, though, it appears that another player could still depart Stamford Bridge this summer.

As per Football Insider, striker David Datro Fofana is still pushing to leave Chelsea this month despite the transfer window having shut for English teams.

Fofana has played just four times for Chelsea since joining the club in January 2023

Fofana, 21, joined the Blues from Norwegian side Molde in January 2021 and has since played four times for the West London club, failing to score in any of them.

After a loan spell with German side Union Berlin, Fofana joined Burnley in January this year as Vincent Kompany’s side looked to battle against relegation.

He scored four times in 15 gamed for the Clarets across all competitions, but was unable to prevent their relegation at the end of last term.

Now, Fofana is said to be keen to secure regular first team football and the report suggests that he is still pushing for a move away from Chelsea.

Football League side Sunderland and Premier League outfit Everton were said to have shown interest in the Ivorian during the summer transfer window, but he remains with Chelsea at present.

Fofana is contracted to the Blues until the end of the 2028/29 season, but it seems increasingly unlikely that he will stay put at the club until then.
