Chelsea’s dismal start to the new Premier League season continued on Sunday as they were held to a goalless draw by Bournemouth.

The Blues were left frustrated on the south coast and have now picked up just five points from their opening five league games of the season.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino cut a visibly frustrated figure on the sidelines and the Argentine will be keen to improve his side’s fortunes as soon as possible.

Next up for the Blues is a game against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, but in the meantime it has emerged that the West London club could be looking to sign a promising young striker.

As per CaughtOffside’s Ben Jacobs, the London outfit are interested in Club Brugge striker Antonio Nusa.

The report claims that Chelsea made attempts to sign the 18-year-old during the recent transfer window, but the player himself was reluctant to move.

Musa has emerged as a surprise target for Chelsea

They could return for next summer, Jacobs reports, having been impressed by his form for the Belgian side.

Musa has made 47 senior appearances for Club Brugge across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists.

Chelsea have struggled in front of goal since the start of last season, scoring just 43 goals in as many Premier League games under four different managers.

New signing Nicolas Jackson – who arrived from Spanish side Villarreal over the summer – has impressed in the early weeks of the season but has scored just once in six appearances across all competitions.

Fellow new arrival Christopher Nkunku is yet to feature for his new side having suffered an injury during pre-season, but Pochettino will be hoping he can hit the ground running when he does return to fitness.
