Chelsea keen on free deal for PSG’s former €30m star signing

Chelsea have reportedly made Argentina international Ezequiel Lavezzi one of their summer transfer targets, according to the Daily Mirror.

The defending Premier League champions, who were pinned back to a 2-2 home draw against West Brom on Wednesday night, are interested in snapping up the Paris Saint-Germain winger on a free transfer at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 30-year-old, who has 48 international caps for his country, has scored just twice in 22 appearances in all competitions for the defending Ligue 1 champions this season,

Lavezzi, who is entering the final six months of his current deal in the French capital, is also thought to be drawing interest from Serie A giants Inter Milan and La Liga’s FC Barcelona.

PSG splashed out up to €30m to sign Lavezzi from Napoli back in July 2012.
