Chelsea captain, John Terry could be set for a reunion with former manager Andre Villas-Boas in January, according to reports from The Mirror.

The former Tottenham boss is now in charge of Chinese Super League big-spenders Shanghai SIPG, having taken the reigns from Sven Goran Eriksen.

The Portuguese, who spent less than a season in charge at Stamford Bridge, is now keen to engineer a reunion with his form captain in West London, potentially as soon as January.

The former England skipper, who signed a new one-year deal with the Blues at the end of last season after rumours circled he’d be leaving the club, started for Conte’s side early in the season but since picking up an injury in the 2-2 draw with Swansea, has struggled to break back into the side.

As per the report, his new deal is based on appearances and having made just seven so far this season a move could be something the 35-year-old considers.
