Chelsea are reportedly ready to splash out £20m on Algeria international Riyad Mahrez at the end of the season, according to the Daily Star.

The defending Premier League champions, who secured a last-gasp 3-3 draw against Everton on Saturday, are ready to strike first in the summer in their bid to sign the in-form Leicester City forward ahead of the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

The 24-year-old, who has 22 international caps for his country, has scored a sensational 13 goals in 21 appearances for the surprise league leaders this season.

Mahrez, who joined the Foxes from Le Havre back in January 2014 for a reported £400,000, could replace Blues ace Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge in the summer should Manchester United or Real Madrid pursue the Belgium international in return.
